Walleye
While in Sioux Narrows - Nestor Falls walleye fishing may bring new
meaning to fishing “deep” for many of you. Spring means fishing
shallow. A jig and minnow on a shallow reef or a rocky shoreline can
produce walleye fishing action like you’ve never seen. Late spring
and early summer, as the water warms, walleye typically move into deeper
water. Thirty to forty foot holes can hold large schools of 'shore
lunch' size walleyes. But, don’t forget the deep water walleye that are
often found in 50 feet of water and deeper!
Muskie
Many Sioux Narrows - Nestor Falls fishermen report catching a muskie or
two when fishing for walleye. Lake of the Woods and the smaller area
lakes in our area are World renowned for large muskie. Our lakes
produce numerous muskie over 50”. Even reports of 60 inchers are not
uncommon!
Northern Pike

northern pike simply fishing for walleye. Our area lakes produce fine
Northern Pike and fish over 40" are common.
Lake Trout
Lake Trout can be found at numerous locations in the lakes surrounding
Sioux Narrows - Nestor Falls. Don’t forget your depth finder. Many of
the giant Lake Trout can be found at 100 feet deep and deeper!

Bass
Bass fishing in the Lake of the Woods area is often times overlooked and
seriously under-rated. However, serious bass fishermen know how good the

Perch and Crappie
If you like jumbo perch, then Sioux Narrows - Nestor Falls is the place
to fish. During early spring walleye fishing, many fishermen report
catching some of the largest perch they have ever seen. A close relative
to the walleye, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference coming
out of the frying pan!

to fifteen inchers in August? That’s right again! For the serious
crappie fisherman, there are some real “slab” crappies swimming right
